When I was growing up there was a place in downtown NYC called "Job Lot." They sold a lot of cool stuff at discounted prices. A good place to shop. One day, my brother and I go to Job Lot. He sees these brand new sneakers. They were sharp looking -- black and white. And the best part? They were only $2.99 -- and yes -- it was for the pair. The only problem they were size 14. He was NOT a size 14. Both his feet combined were a size 14. But he was undeterred and bought them anyway because they were such a bargain. He never wore them. I think they're still in the closet.
